As we celebrate 10 years of bringing healing and restoration to people affected by disabilities, we are excited to host our 5th Annual Golf Tournament! We are building big dreams this year through our new program called Forward Moves, which provides more significant resources and support to those we serve, so they can live more purposeful lives and build dreams of their own.

We consider you a dream builder as well. Your participation in the Powered to Move 5th Annual Golf Tournament will provide critical support for this new program which addresses isolation, depression, resources, purpose and health. We hope you can join our group of dream builders on September 15th.

A message from Powered to Move Assisted Athlete and Board Member Mayra Claudio…

“I met Powered to Move (P2M) at their first official event called Brave the Race. My desire is to inspire people with disabilities to stay active in life, find purpose and get out into the community. I have Cerebral Palsy, and it would be easy to just stay home. I don’t drive, so I rely on public transportation or friends like P2M to help me get to things. Over the years, their programs have allowed me to do new things like racing, join others with disabilities at group classes and social events, and find support in things that I have gone through in my life.

When I’m out doing things with Powered to Move I don’t even feel like I have a disability. Everyone includes me, loves me and encourages me to do more. This makes me feel part of something bigger than myself and helps with so many struggles in life. My next goal is to become a hand cyclist. I know I can achieve this goal and show others they can too. I’m excited to have joined the board of directors for P2M last year, because I want to do even more for people with disabilities, and I can do that through Powered to Move.”
